Work on the narthex is progressing well, with a lot of progress being made on the roof this week.
The lies a bit of challenge ahead, though - a significant part of the church roof needs to be taken off in order for the new roof to be built into it. For this, we obviously need a few days of dry (or at least not too wet!) weather. So far progress has been very good and everything is on track - we just need the Lord to lend a helping hand for the next phase... Looking at the building now, it's possible to get a real sense of how the finished narthex will look, including the large skylight which will be in the roof on each side - the space for it is clearly visible in the photo above.
