St Clare's remains open for public Mass and private prayer during the new national lockdown.

On Monday 4th January the Prime Minister announced a new national lockdown for England, effective from midnight. The information at www.gov.uk/coronavirus indicates that places of worship may remain open both for communal worship and for private prayer.

Therefore the normal timetable of public Masses and opening for private prayer will continue at St Clare's, unless the guidance is further revised. Wednesday 13th January-Friday 15th January the church will not be open for private prayer, and the daily Mass will be celebrated (with a congregation) in the parish hall. Monday 18th-Friday 22nd January the same arrangements will be in place. This is due to work taking place in the church and is unrelated to the pandemic. The church will be open as normal, both for Mass and for private prayer, over the weekend 16th/17th January.

We have strict social distancing in place, along with many other measures, to keep everyone as safe as possible in our church.
