On Good Friday we gathered in beautiful sunshine outside the church to commemorate the Lord's saving death.
The bright sunshine may have been a far cry from the darkness which covered the land as Jesus died on the cross, but our outdoor liturgy drew us to the foot of the Cross on this sacred day. A large congregation were able to gather safely and legally for liturgy that we will probably all remember for years to come. The prayerful silence as we looked upon the cross was powerful and moving - so many people all united in veneration of the Lord's cross.
