Today's morning Mass was heaving, extra chairs had to be brought in from the Parish hall to accommodate all who came to Mass. What was happening? It was Youth Sunday and boys and girls from Year Six in our Primary School helped to lead the liturgy, together with representatives of the Uniformed organisations and our Seekers Youth Group.
The homily juxtaposted earthly kingship with that of Jesus. Using those present to help create a picture of earthly kingship, the celebrant compared it to the Kingship of Christ. Christ's kingdom lies within each one of us and has to be made manifest through the way we live our lives. The key question is: is the world a better place for each of us who pass through it? Are we the blessing that we should be?
