Blessed Sacrament Procession

The first Friday in July saw the boys and girls in our Primary School take part in the Blessed Sacrament Procession.

The Service started in school where the children sang and read from the scriptures; the children then filed out of school wending their way across the playground to the church and in so doing provided a 'guard of honour' for the Blessed Sacrament which was carried into church. In the church the children lit candles, one for each class, one for the staff and one for the governors. Another scripture reading was heard and intercessions made. The blessing was given and the children were asked to take it home and 'share' it with their families. Then they left in silence.
