Walking pilgrimage

Walking pilgrimage

Yesterday we took part in the walking pilgrimage to the St. John Paul II Centre and the Divine Mercy Shrine.

We joined thousands of pilgrims as we all passed through the Holy Door before walking onto the Divine Mercy Shrine. The weather was really hot and the atmosphere was great mixing with pilgrims from all over the world. As we passed through the crowds of pilgrims we were able to exchange gifts with each other.

Later in the evening we went to the Kraków Arena which holds 22,800 people, the area was full, but the atmosphere was just as good outside as we listened and joined via the loud speaker.

This is what Nisha had to say,

"Last night we met up with the Lancaster Diocese group outside Kraków arena and it was incredible to see friends from home in Poland. We all sang the Lancaster Diocese chant and danced with young people from many different countries. We also met people from Westminster Diocese and Youth 2000 groups."
