On Friday night parishioners gathered for an open meeting, a chance to take stock of where the parish is, and to set some priorities for the time ahead.
A similar meeting was held a few years ago, and gave rise to a number of initiatives in the parish, so the hope is that Friday's gathering will bear similar fruit. Sat in small groups, parishioners discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the parish, and came up with ideas about how we can develop parish life. A lot of good ideas came out of the meeting, so the feedback will be collated and published in the parish newsletter and online soon after Easter. In the final part of the meeting we looked at options for a large charity project for the parish to support. The Hodovo project, which ran for several years, has now been wound up in the parish, and we have been working with Aid to the Church in Need to identify a project to support.
