This weekend a group of young people from St Clare's are in London to take part in Flame, a national gathering of 10,000 young British Catholics taking place at Wembley Arena.
The trip was planned some time ago and organised by Fr Darren before the moves were announced, so he has taken the St Clare's group, along with some young people from his new parish in Barrow. After driving to London in minibuses yesterday, the group arrived at the Kairos Centre in Roehampton. Kairos is a Greek word that means 'right or opportune moment', and indeed this weekend is for our young people an opportune moment to come closer to God. Last night the group had some time to get to know each other, before spending time together in prayer. This morning they made the eight-mile journey to Wembley for the day's events. Tomorrow they will attend Mass at Westminster Cathedral and do a bit of London sight-seeing before making the trip home. Find out more about the event here: http://cymfed.org.uk/flame2017/
