The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed to a church filled to overflowing; the general intercession for the Church and the world; the unveiling and the veneration of the cross and the reception of Holy Communion.
These events mark the liturgy of Good Friday and they were celebrated with solemnity and reverence; the altar servers carrying out their duties with aplomb; the singers and musicians serving the liturgy, and the readers proclaiming the word with confidence and sympathy.
The church was open till late for those who wished to visit the Lord 'enthroned on the cross.' And now we wait, looking towards the great feast of the Resurrection.
