He is risen, indeed. Alleluia!
The great paschal vigil began with the blessing of the Easter Fire and preparation of the Easter Candle which was then carried into a darkened Church each person taking a light from it until the church was aglow with the light of the Risen Christ.
The liturgy of the word unfolded accompanied with projected images; then the Gloria was intoned and the New Testament reading proclaimed. The Resurrection Gospel followed preceded by thefirt Easter Alleluia. And so to the baptisms: Kelvin & Charlotte were baptised, Confirmed and later in the Mass received their first Holy Communion.
A great and joyful occasion, the evening demanded nothing less! And then on to the bun fight!
